Juan Manuel Martinez - General Manager, Organization MAS

Juan Manuel Martínez Solarte is a Colombian entrepreneur who is passionate for bread.  He currently works as the general manager of Organization MAS (www.organizacionmas.com), a flour mill focused in the production of traditional and specialty flours in Bogotá.

He is the creator and administrator of El Club del Pan (www.clubdelpan.com), a website dedicated to advancing and promoting the art of baking in South America and is the author of  “El Pan Busca Su Semilla” (“Bread Seeks Its Seed”) in the magazine of the National Millers Federation of Colombia, and the professional baking book, Pan, Sabor y Tradición (Bread, Flavor and Tradition)

A graduate of the Pontificia Universidad Javeria in business administration, Juan Manuel has also studied around the world in areas related to food business and milling and baking. He has developed bakery courses and classes at a national and international level.

In 2005 in Bogotá, he won first prize in the Baguette and Special Breads category for the Colombian national selection for the Coupe du Monde de la Boulangerieand was selected as a finalist in the same category in 2007.
