John Arena - Owner and Founder, Metro Pizza

John Arena received a BA Communications from Adelphi University and his Foodservice Management Professional certification from the Nation Restaurant Association. He created and taught the nations first accredited university level pizza class, History and Culture of Pizza at UNLV for the School of Hospitality. John is a third generation pizza chef with 40+ years of experince. He is the Owner/Founder of Metro Pizza with 5 successful locations in Las Vegas.

He was selected as one of the Top 10 Pizzerias in America in “Everybody Loves Pizza” by Penny Pollack and Jeff Ruby and featured on “Entertainment Tonight” and Live with Regis and Kathy Lee.”

He is also an Instructor of Pizza Making team building classes for corporate clients including AMEX, Coca Cola, Avis, Zappos and Thomas Keller Restaurant Group. John has been the Pizza maker to three US Presidents and he is an author/ contributor for various restaurant industry trade publications.
