Glenn Gaesser, PhD
Glenn Gaesser is a professor and director of the Healthy Lifestyles Research Center, and the Exercise and Wellness Program, at Arizona State University. Professor Gaesser has had prior faculty appointments at the University of Virginia and UCLA. He is a Fellow of the American College of Sports Medicine. Professor Gaesser has conducted research and published articles on fitness and health, and on metabolic and cardiovascular responses to acute and chronic exercise, in scientific journals, trade publications, newsletters and Internet sites. He also studies the role of diet in health. He is the author or co-author of several books, including Big Fat Lies: The Truth About Your Weight and Your Health, The Spark: The Revolutionary New Plan to Get Fit and Lose Weight 10 Minutes at a Time, and It’s the Calories, Not the Carbs.
